Discovering the Marketplace

Overview

Buying an asset on Stashh is similar to buying an asset on any other marketplace. The key difference is that Secret Network maintains your privacy, so where other marketplaces can just look inside your wallet and see what you own, Stashh has to get your permission by way of a Permit.

There are two sales mechanisms on Stashh. The way you buy an asset depends on which mechanism is being used.

Fixed Price

Click the Buy Now button.
Your wallet will ask to execute several contracts in a single transaction. Click Approve.
After a few moments, the purchase will complete and a success message will be shown.
To view your asset, navigate to your Dashboard.

Buy with SCRT

If Stashh detects that you have enough SCRT but not enough SNIP-20 Tokens (ex.: sSCRT, sETH, etc.) to buy an asset, it will show the Buy Now With SCRT button.

When you click this button, Stashh will convert the right amount of SCRT to the correct SNIP-20 token, use it to buy the asset, then create a Permit for the collection in a single transaction.

Auctions

Bid

Note When you bid on an auction, the amount you bid is moved from your wallet into escrow. If you are outbid, your tokens are automatically and instantly returned.

Enter your bid into the Bid field.
Click the Bid button.
Your wallet will ask to execute several contracts in a single transaction. Click Approve.
A success message will appear.

Buy Now

If the Seller has set a Buy Now price for the auction, you can buy the asset instantly for the Buy Now price at any time until the current bid exceeds the Buy Now price.

Click the Buy Now button.
Your wallet will ask to execute several contracts in a single transaction. Click Approve.

Bid or Buy Now with SCRT

If Stashh detects that you have enough SCRT but not enough SNIP-20 Tokens to bid on an asset, it will show the Bid with SCRT button.

When you click this button, Stashh will convert the right amount of SCRT to the correct SNIP-20 token, use it to buy the asset, then create a Permit for the collection in a single transaction.
